This Packaging Engineer will support YETIs global growth and supply chain diversification and expansion through the design and development of packaging for new markets, primarily in SE Asia. This individual will also support new product packaging development and sustaining packaging projects including cost savings, compliance, quality, operations, and sustainability. Responsibilities Packaging Design Enable YETI's global growth by leading end-to-end packaging development for APAC expansion countries Enable global supply chain expansion by onboarding new factories and 3PLs to packaging standards, work instructions, and pack-out procedures Support the identification, qualification and onboarding of local packaging suppliers in partnership with Procurement Optimize packaging designs and processes to reduce waste across the supply chain Cost Savings Identify, develop and implement cost-saving opportunities within packaging processes, materials and designs Develop business cases for cost savings initiatives including ROI analysis; track and report cost savings metrics to senior leadership Partner with Procurement to understand financial metrics and collaborate on a cost reduction roadmap to ensure cost targets are achieved maintaining uncompromised quality and durability Process and Reporting Develop and execute a global packaging playbook inclusive of templates, tools and process necessary to activate swift new-market entry Initiate and drive upstream and downstream packaging efficiencies alongside Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, Wholesale and Customization partners Develop and optimize packaging specifications and process documentation Support global EPR reporting obligations through the development and maintenance of real-time packaging material and costing reports Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Engineering or related degree with 2-4 years' experience in a Packaging role Knowledge of global packaging and labeling regulatory requirements, priority being the APAC region Knowledge of packaging equipment, materials, automation, and lean manufacturing principles Familiarity with packaging testing methodology (i.e. ISTA & ASTM) and packaging software (CAD, TOPS, MaxLoad Pro, or similar) Familiarity with packaging suppliers and sourcing in the APAC region Able to prioritize activities that have the biggest impact while effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Desire to work in a dynamic, fast pace, growing global brand Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cultures and time zones Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Must be fluent in English. As the Administrative Officer of YETI's Asia Innovation Center, you'll manage day-to-day operations of the Asia Innovation Center, providing essential support to ensure smooth workflow and efficient communication within the organization. The Asia Innovation Center is a critical part of the Global YETI team and is critical to the success of creating, launching, and sustaining products. Responsibilities: Coordinate with Operations and Engerineering teams to support logistics and deliveries of product samples and equipment. Help label, stock, and organize samples as needed in the warehouse. Monitor, source, purchase, and replenish all office supplies, machinery, and equipment, coordinating with vendors as needed. Act as the primary liaison with building management and internal facilities teams to resolve AV, maintenance, and space planning needs. Manage time tracking and leave application process for all Thai employees where needed including collecting timesheets, resolving basic timekeeping issues, and verifying data accuracy prior to submitting to payroll. Assist in managing expenses and budgets, ensuring all claims are supported with proper invoices. Coordinate with all visitors for any travel needs such as invitation letters, hotel reservations, and transportation arrangement for smooth travel to/from Thailand. Schedule and coordinate meeting rooms where needed and ensure rooms are prepared for meetings. Support onboarding process of new hires with desk setup, orientation materials, and employee documentation such as payroll setup. Develop business relationships with and provide general administrative support to various departments and peers. A Metrology Engineer II at YETI is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of measurement systems and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing calibration methods, standards, and procedures to ensure the reliability and traceability of measurements. This individual performs and manages the metrology activities as they relate to supplier evaluation, builds qualification and quality assurance. The metrology engineer also organizes calibration for internal measurement equipment such as CMM, spectrophotometer, weight scales, gauges, etc. to ensure accuracy of each device. Responsibilities: - Engage direction with product engineers and suppliers to enhance drawings, ensure GD&T principles are followed and planned measurement methods and techniques are sound - Design and implement calibration processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment - Manage and maintain a comprehensive inventory of measurement instruments and equipment, including calibration schedules, records, and traceability documentation - Perform calibration, verification, and testing of measurement instruments and equipment using appropriate standards and reference materials. This includes analyzing measurement data, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and quality control personnel, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of metrology activities such as drawing reviews and signoffs - Collaborate with quality assurance teams and suppliers to establish and maintain quality control processes, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards - Stay updated with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems to ensure compliance. Implement necessary measures to meet regulatory requirements - Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement in measurement techniques, equipment performance, and calibration procedures. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. - Provide training and technical support to staff regarding measurement techniques, instrument operation, and calibration procedures. Maintain accurate documentation, including calibration reports, procedures, and certificates. Qualifications and Attributes: - Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics - At least 4 years of industrial experience in metrology engineering or similar role - Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered - Metrology certification or able to obtain one in the near future - Proficient in GD&T a must - Experienced in 3D CAD package (Solidworks, ProE/Creo, NX, etc) - Statistical tools such as JMP and Weibull - Proficiency in using a wide range of measurement instruments and equipment is necessary such as CMM, 3D scanner, spectrophotometer and caliper - Strong knowledge of calibration procedures, standards, and reference materials is required. This includes understanding the use of calibration equipment, performing traceable calibrations, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. - A solid understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and calibration procedures - Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify measurement errors, deviations, and other issues - Analyze data, interpret results, and implement corrective actions to improve measurement accuracy - Familiar with quality management systems (QMS) and related standards and understand quality control principles and the ability to work within a quality-driven environment are important aspects of the role - Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams, technicians, and other stakeholders Any offer of employment with YETI is contingent on a successful criminal background check and successful reference checks. The Sourcing Analyst III will be based in Thailand and will report to the Sr. Manager, Procurement - located in Austin, TX. The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for strategically sourcing new suppliers while managing the performance of existing suppliers within Gear & Equipment and other categories as needed. This will be a highly cross functional and collaborative role working closely with our Operations and Innovation teams including but not limited to: Category Management, New Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Program Management Teams. Responsibilities: Source and manage a world-class supply base based upon 3-year strategy plans and product roadmap needs Define and implement supplier performance and development strategies, evolving YETI's supply base to support category growth and manage risk Maintain performance transparency via Supplier Scorecard metrics and Quarterly Business Reviews Facilitate YETI's Innovation team in new product development Conduct competitive intelligence research on new technologies, capabilities, materials, etc. and keep pace with Innovation team Carry out extensive supplier due diligence via research, on-site supplier evaluations, and overseeing rigorous YETI cross-functional supplier qualification process Manage the RFQ/RFP process and supplier negotiations Carry out should-cost analyses Develop a supplier launch plan and project schedule that aligns with the category speed to market objectives Execute commercial agreements Ensure forecasts/orders are delivered to our vendor partners on-time to facilitate bulk production at our T1 vendors Manage and adjust supplier capacity to align with category demand.
